Super Monkey Ball: Banana Mania will be available in October this year (2021), with a multitude of new levels and in stunning HD quality. Each set of characters seems to be getting their own collectables, which makes the game even more fun for players. Kiryu will be joining the multitude of playable characters once the game releases, and the trailer shows him to be collecting not bananas, but bottles (or so we think). The inclusion of this character is a welcome surprise for many fans of both Super Monkey Ball and Yakuza, and of course gives players even more choice when it comes to characters. The Yakuza hero will be all dressed up in his signature grey suit, maroon shirt, unchanging furrowed brows, and pointy hairdo. Along with the main cast of monkey characters, users can now play as Sonic, Tails, and now Kiryu.

Kazuma Kiryu, the main protagonist from Yakuza, will be joining the fray as a brand-new playable character. Recently, another character, along with Sonic and Tails, has been added to the roster of playable characters. A wide-reaching collaboration, in the vein of Nintendo's beloved Super Smash Bros Ultimate, would be a surprising but enjoyable twist for the upcoming title.The remaster of Super Monkey Ball is edging closer and closer, and SEGA keeps surprising us with exciting announcements. Both Sony and Microsoft showed a willingness to lend their properties to different games for collaborations in the past, most recently with Ratchet & Clank and Halo. Super Monkey Ball adding new characters will make the puzzle party game even more enticing as the year progresses. Super Monkey Ball Banana Mania landing on several different consoles also means that there is a possibility of more collaborations for DLC. Sega’s properties have had several releases over the past year, including Virtua Fighter 5 Ultimate Showdown and the upcoming Shin Megami Tensei V. However, with even more guest characters on the way, such as classic Sonic and Tails, one must wonder how many more characters will be surprise additions. Similar things happen to Takayumi Yagami in Judgement, which is in the Yakuza universe. Within the world of Yakuza, over-the-top comedy and action are normal, and outlandish events fit right in alongside the crime and violence one might expect from the franchise at a glance. Kiryu becoming a member of the Super Monkey Ball group seems to be par the course for his usual antics. These include a brief comic featuring Kiryu's friend Goro Majima from alciedoodles, a clip from VenomDeathNINJA showing how Kiryu's Super Monkey Ball appearance could be justified in the Yakuza series, and a piece of art from CasualLegume. Quick as ever, the Internet already has memes featuring mini Kiryu. A chibi version of Kiryu runs around in the ball with his signature stoic face while collecting drinks in the trailer. Unlike the classic Sega consoles, which are a part of day one DLC, Kiryu can be unlocked within the game at no charge. In a new trailer on Twitter, Sega revealed that Kazuma Kiryu would be joining the roster of Super Monkey Ball Banana Mania.
